At Morrill Field in Rockland, Oceanside rallied from a 4-1 deficit to score a pair of runs in the fifth, one in the seventh and walked off in the ninth for the victory over Medomak Valley of Waldoboro.
Medomak jumped out in front with a three-run second inning, two scoring on Brent Stewart’s RBI single. Stewart then stole second, moved up on a groundout and scored on passed ball to make it 4-1.
Oceanside made it 4-3 in the fifth on an RBI single by Michael Dougherty and a bases-loaded walk to Titus Kaewthong and then tied the game on Kaewthong’s RBI double in the seventh. The Mariners won it on Kaewthong’s sacrifice fly in the ninth and he finished with three RBIs. Uriah Thongsphaphone reached base five times, including two hits and scored four runs. Dougherty added three singles.
Dougherty pitched 4 2/3 shutout innings, allowing just one hit and walking two to earn the win.
Stewart notched three singles for Medomak.
