Madawaska Baseball 16 at Van Buren 3

At Madawaska, the Owls scored eight unearned runs in the first inning after two outs en route to the victory.

Madawaska scored only four earned runs on seven hits. The Owls were led by Dylan Wetmore who scored three runs and had an RBI single. He also started the game on the mound and struck out eight in the first three innings .

Kyle Tardif also had a pair of singles and scored four runs for the 4-1 winners

Van Buren was led by Marc LaJoie’s double with an RBI and Derek Grivois’ two singles.┬áBrandon Bouchard chipped in with a double and a run scored.
