At Houlton, Hunter Hanning pitched six innings of one-hit, one-run baseball to propel Houlton by Madawaska 8-1 in the first game of a doubleheader.
Houlton (4-3) rallied from a 6-0 deficit to win the second game 9-6 for a sweep of the Owls (4-4).
In the first game, Hanning struck out 10 and walked two while aiding his own cause with a double, single and two RBIs. Kole Buzzeo added two singles.
For Madawaska, Kirk Michaud doubled and scored a run.
In the second game, Hanning paced Houlton again with a triple, double, and single while scoring four runs. Kole Buzzeo also had three hits and three RBIs. Isiah Straubel singled twice and Alex Donovan had a pinch-hit single that drove in two runs.
Brad Pelletier and Devan Pelletier each had two hits for Madawaska while Kyle Tardif added an RBI double.
