Madawaska Boys Soccer 3 at Fort Kent 1

At Fort Kent on Wednesday night, Jake Gendreau opened the scoring with a goal on an assist from Sam Cyr to help lead Madawaska to victory over the Warriors.

Ethan Wetmore scored to give the Owls a 2-0 lead at the half. Fort Kent’s Ryan Chasse scored on an assist from Adam Bouchard with15:38 left in the second half to cut the lead but Ian Lee scored the Owls’ third goal to seal the win.

Goalkeeper Cody Plourde had 7 saves on 16 shots for Fort Kent while Tim Dechenes had 3 saves on 7 shots for Madawaska.
