WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College baseball team fell in both games of a doubleheader to Lyndon State on Saturday night in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play, 9-2 and 3-1.
After the four-game series, the Terriers now sit at 3-22 (3-11 NAC) while the Hornets improve to 11-6 (4-1 NAC).

The Hornets jumped out to an early lead in the top half of the second as a sacrifice fly from Jake Perkins scored David Laroche. Ian Machia followed up with an RBI double down the left field line to take a 2-0 lead.
Thomas answered in the bottom of the third as Derek LeBlanc (Madison, Maine) grounded out to third to plate Kyle Fletcher (Monmouth, Maine).
Lyndon pushed across two more runs in the top of the fifth for a 4-1 advantage. A sacrifice fly from Andre Eason Jr. and a fielder’s choice from Trevor Markey brought in the two runs.
The Hornets offense exploded for five more runs in the final frame on RBI singles from Markey, Perkins, and Eason.
Thomas added one run in the bottom half on an RBI single from Alex Curtis (Monmouth, Maine), scoring Isaiah Arana (Orlando, Fla.) to finish at 9-2.
Jeff Williams had a big game on the mound for the Hornets, throwing all seven innings, allowing two hits and two runs. Williams held a no-hitter going into the final inning.
Brandon Hubbard (New Gloucester, Maine) started for the Terriers, going five innings, scattering five hits and four runs (two earned).
