Limestone 4 at Fort Fairfield 5

At Fort Fairfield, Logan Bubar’s shot from the 18-yard line 2:47 into overtime gave the Tigers the victory over the Limestone Community School/Maine Science of School and Mathematics.

The Tigers took a 3-1 first-half lead, but the Eagles battled back to tie it in the second half when Mariah Williams scored three goals, sandwiched around one by Fort’s Janae Libby on a  Nicole Giberson assist.

Megan Jellison, Kailanny Hernandez and Libby each scored a first-half goal for the Tigers with Bubar and Hernandez each  notching an assist.

Ellyzabeth Bencivenga answered in the first half for the Tigers off a Williams assist.

Chelsey Pelkey assisted on two of Williams’ second-half goals and the third was unassisted.

 Sarah Watt finished with 3 saves on 7 shots for Fort Fairfield while Limestone’s Jordyn Hopkins made 13 saves on 24 shots. Fort is now 6-2 and Limestone is 1-4.
