At Hampden Friday night, Leavitt ran off four unanswered touchdowns to notch the victory.
After Hampden’s Logan Steward kicked a 20-yard field goal in the first quarter, the Hornets scored three touchdowns — the first two on runs by Brian Bedard and the third on a Tyler Chicoine pass to Mitchell Davis. Bedard also had a two-point conversion rush.
Leavitt capped its scoring in the fourth on a Chicoine TD run.
Hampden added two late TDs in the fourth quarter when Matt Martin connected on a 70-yard TD pass to Nick Rodgerson and then a 20-yard TD pass to Rodgerson. Matt Haws also caught a two-point conversion pass.
Simon Burditt, Martin, Ben Cambridge and Haws were Hampden’s leading tacklers. Matt Martin was 7 for 13 with 119 yards and two TDs while Nick Rodgerson caught three passes for 109 yards.
