Katahdin Softball 6 at Limestone

At Limestone, down one run entering the seventh inning, No. 1 Limestone scored twice with Chelsey Pelkey scoring the game-winning run in a 7-6 victory over No. 4 Katahdin.

Pelkey paced the 17-0 Eagles with two hits, two runs scored and two RBI. Jackie Peers contributed with  two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Melissa Cantafio led Limestone on the mound, giving up six runs on two hits while striking out 12 in seven innings pitched.  Cantafio also helped out her own cause with an RBI double in the first inning.

Ashley Randall led 12-4 Katahdin in pitching and hitting, allowing seven runs while striking out three in seven innings to go along with one hit of her own at the plate.

Makayla Patterson had the other hit for the Cougars.
