At Millinocket, Elise Tilton scored three goals, the third in overtime, to lift the Crusaders by the Lady Minutemen in the mutual opener.
Tilton’s first goal was assisted by Amelia Pellegrini and the next two were unassisted. Kate Noble finished with seven saves on 11 shots.
Jessica Girsa scored Stearns’ first goal on assists from Alex Mooney and Mikayla Glidden. Glidden tied the game at 2-2 when she converted a Mooney assist. Whitney Guy made 21 saves on 29 shots.
