BANGOR, Maine– The Husson University Baseball Team (7-11, 3-3 NAC) swept a doubleheader against the University of Maine-Farmington Beavers (5-10, 2-4 NAC), 2-1 and 6-3, in NAC action on Tuesday afternoon at the Dr. John W. Winkin Sports Complex.

How it Happened:

The Eagles started off the scoring in the third inning as Alex Chapman (Westford, Vt) reached first base on a fielding error and Mike Wong (Lewiston, Maine) and Tyler Young (Old Town, Maine) scored to give the Eagles a 2-0.

Jimmy Parks (Springvale, Maine) cut the Eagles’ lead in half in the bottom of the 5th inning with a RBI-single, but it was not enough as the Eagles would win 2-1.

Batters: Husson

Young with a hit and a run scored.

Wong with a run scored.

Pitchers: Husson

Tommy Burns (Eddington, Maine) (W, 2-1) pitched seven innings and allowed a run on seven hits and struck out four and walked three.

Batters: UMaine-Farmington

Nick Attaliades-Ryan (Otisfield, Maine) with two hits.

Parks with a hit and RBI.

Chase Malloy (Madison, Maine) scored a run.

Pitchers: UMaine-Farmington

Gavin Arsenault (Dixfield, Maine) (L, 1-2) pitched seven innings and gave up two runs (both unearned) while he struck out four and walked one.
