At Larry Mahaney Gymnasium in Waterville, Raheem Anderson poured in 50 points, including an overtime-forcing three-pointer with 18 seconds left in regulation and 12 in overtime to lead Husson past Thomas College.
North Atlantic Conference regular season champ Husson is now 18-6 overall and 15-2 in the conference while Thomas fell to 12-12 and 10-7.
Anderson‘s 50 points is the second most in a regular season game in program history since Husson joined the NCAA. He also had five assists and five rebounds.
Husson erased a 12-point deficit with 3:44 left in regulation to force the extra period.
Mitch Worcester and Eli Itkin had huge games of the bench for Husson. Worcester tailed 15 points while Itkin chipped in 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Tyheem Simon paced the Terriers with 25 points. Jordan Derosby was close behind with 23 points. Carlos Gonzalez controlled the paint for Thomas with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ian King grabbed 15 points for the Terriers in a losing effort.
The Husson Eagles wrap up the regular season and host senior night Saturday, February 18th against Maine-Farmington at 1:00 pm.
