CLAREMONT, California – Husson Men’s Basketball completed their West Coast trip, and 2016, with a 22-point loss to Pomona-Pitzer.

The Eagles attempted 61 shots compared to 51 for the Sagehens, but the Sagehens converted 50.9% of those shots while the Eagles only managed a 37.7% success rate. Fouls were also a problem for Husson as they allowed Pomona-Pitzer 27 shots from the line, which the Sagehens converted for 22 total points.

Pomona-Pitzer jumped out to an early 11-0 lead in the 1st half, before Anderson and Mitch Worcester combined for a quick seven points to claw Husson back into the game at 14-7. That was as close as the Eagles would get to the Sagehens during the game, and the 1st half ended with Pomona-Pitzer comfortably on top at 42-25.

The Eagles performed better in the 2nd half, scoring 39 points, but the Sagehens continued their strong all-around play, padding their lead with another 44 points. The game ended 86-64, with Pomona-Pitzer picking up the deserved victory.
