WATERVILLE, Maine — Lucas Pereira had assists on the first three goals of the game and Colby College had five different scorers in a 5-1 non-conference victory over Husson University on Tuesday.

The Mules improve to 5-3-1 overall, while the Eagles drop to 5-5.
Cam Clouse scored his third goal of the season when he volleyed in a corner kick from Pereira just 1:10 into the contest.
Pereira was on the left side of the field for the first goal and went to the right side for the second corner kick goal. In one of the top goals of the season, Kyle Douglas used the back of his head to loft a shot over the goalkeeper. The ball hit the inside of the left post and went in for his first goal of the season.
Avery Heilbron scored his first collegiate goal just 1:57 later on a nice give and go with Pereira. Heilbron pushed the ball to Pereira, who fought off a defender and gave the ball back to a cutting Heilbron for the score.
The Eagles cut the margin to two goals at halftime when Dnye-Jha Sharrieff tallied with just 1:45 to play. Jahmal Williams pushed a quick pass to Sharrieff, who trapped the ball and quickly split between two defenders for the goal.
The Mules scored their third restart goal of the game just 7:12 into the second half. Deep in the right corner after a foul, David Howarth had a centering pass that Garrett Dickey one-timed for his first collegiate score.
Colby closed out the scoring with 1:05 to play on the first collegiate goal for Paul Hawkins. Evan Dwyer had a long lead pass to Hawkins, who broke in on the right side and pushed a shot past the sprawling goalkeeper.
The Mules had a 22-8 shot advantage and a 7-3 margin in corner kicks.
Dan Carlson played the first half and did not make a save for the Mules. Stanley Clarke went the final 45 minutes and stopped three shots.
Cody Gross started and made five saves in 34:40 for the Eagles. Niko Bulashvili went the rest of the way and stopped four shots.
