Houlton Baseball 3 at Presque Isle 4

By Curt Paterson, Special to the BDN

At Presque Isle, the Wildcats erased a three-run deficit with a four-run sixth inning to beat the Shiretowners.

Nick Bartlett started the inning when he was hit by a pitch and came around to score the first run as the Wildcats also capitalized on a walk and error.

Jonah Hudson, Bartlett, Connor DeMerchant and Dakota Morrow all singled for PI while three different pitchers scattered eight hits. DeMerchant pitch the final two scoreless innings to pick up the win.

Houlton was led by Nick Botting, Keegan Gentile, and Ryder Graham with two hits apiece. Cameron Graham got the hard-luck loss on the mound, allowing only four hits.
