At Bingham, the Cavaliers jumped out to a three-goal lead and never gave it up to hand the visiting Lakers of Greenville their first loss of the season.
Carrington Miller started the scoring with a long goal followed by Andrew Marden knocking in a rebound of a direct kick 10 minutes later. Ellis Stone added a third goal with a hard shot from a loose ball outside the 18-yard line.
Greenville got on the board at the end of the half with Matt DiAngelo scoring off a back ball from Henry Hersey.
The lone goal in the second half came when Tristan Richards scored off a Hersey cross. The Lakers continued to pound the goal but came up short as Andrew Trembley came up big, making 16 saves on 22 shots for 3-2 Valley. Corey Henderson had saved 7 of 10 for 5-1 Greenville.
