FARMINGTON, ME – UMaine-Farmington’s second half surge in three pointers in enough to beat Green Mountain College by a score of 73-71 late Saturday afternoon in Dearborn Gymnasium.
The Beavers move to 2-4 over and 1-2 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) while the Eagles fall to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Amir Moss lead the Beavers with 21 points going 7-13 from the field and 7-9 at the charity stripe.
Owen Brown chipped in 11 points and nine rebounds while Riley Robinson and Bill Ruby finished with 10 points each.
The Beavers shot 47.5 percent from the field and 38.9 percent behind the arc.
Thomas Brown finished with game high 32 points for the Eagles going 12-20 from the field and 6-10 from three-point land for the Eagles.
Patrick Rittmon rounded out the double digit point scores for the Eagles with 14.
The Eagles shot 41 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from behind the arc and 55.6 percent at the charity stripe.
