FARMINGTON, Maine — The University of Maine at Farmington women’s soccer team (2-4-0) could not recover from an early first half goal with a 1-0 non-conference loss to Gordon College (3-2-1) on Tuesday afternoon at Leib Field.
Lexi Potter was able to dribble into the center of the box and avoid UMF goalie Kiana Thompson to score the unassisted goal in the 11th minute. The score was Potter’s first career goal.
UMF’s best chance came in the first half when Haley Murano was able to put a header on goal, but Kali Denty (3-1) was able to make her only save of the game.
Thompson was able to keep the Beavers alive by making five saves on the day.
