Foxcroft 2 at Piscataquis 3

Oct. 05, 2013, at 11 a.m.

At Guilford, Nate Burns scored off a Jose Palma pass with 6:50 left in regulation to give Piscataquis Community High its victory over Foxcroft Academy of Dover-Foxcroft on homecoming.

The game was dedicated to former teacher Larry Holmquist, who recently passed away. The Pirates wore patches in his memory.

Justin Diamond stake the Ponies to a 1-0 lead off a J.T. Blake assist but Burns tied it off the rebound of a Palma shot with 58 seconds left in the first half.

Spencer Martell converted a Palma assist to give the Pirates a 2-1 lead in the second half but Diamond’s header tied it up.
