At Thomaston, after a scoreless first half, No. 11 Foxcroft scored two second-half goals en route to the upset of No. 6 Oceanside in the Eastern Maine Class B prelim.
Nathaniel Church set up both of Foxcroft’s goals, the first when he launched a 30-yard direct kick that was headed into the near post by Sam Keane 15 minutes into the second half. Berk Taner scored the second goal after he settled a 35-yard direct kick from Church and then beat goalkeeper Phil Atwood to the ball, placing it just out of his reach to the left side of the goal.
Oceanside responded with eight minutes left to cut the lead to 2-1 when Kaleb Robinson scored form a scramble in front of the goal.
Atwood finished with 12 saves on 15 shots for 10-4-1 Oceanside while freshman goalkeeper Logan Butera made nine saves on 13 shots.
