At Caribou, Caribou’s Kameron Manter tallied three goals to power the Vikings (4-3-1) past Foxcroft (3-4). He was assisted twice by Caribou goalie Matt Manter, whose long punts proved to be a dangerous weapon for the Vikes.
Colby Holdsworth knocked in Caribou’s first goal off a nice feed from Kam Manter just nine minutes in to the contest. Minutes later, Foxcroft’s Antonio Ayala knotted the game off an Evan Hong assist.
Kam Manter then scored twice before the half after running on to two punts by goalkeeper Matt Manter and taking the ball past the Ponies’ defense and slotting the ball past ‘keeper.
In the second half, Caribou’s Michael Hunter scored its fourth goal off a nice give-and-go combo with Hunter Milliard. Kam Manter capped off his hat trick with a direct kick that beat the keeper to the far post.
Foxcroft’s Justin Diamond closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal, knocking in a rebound at the 11- minute mark.
Matt Manter had 6 saves on 11 shots, while Foxcroft’s Logan Butera and Taner Strout combined for 10 saves on 16 shots.
