Fort Fairfield Baseball 5 at Limestone

At Limestone, Chris Bernier pitched a complete game, striking out 14 batters and walking one to lead No. 8 Limestone by No. 9 Fort Fairfield. Bernier helped his cause with a double and three RBIs.

Fort scored three runs in the top of the third inning on Andrew Tuck’s single followed by Austin Bernier’s single and Landon Towle’s double, scoring two runs. Tyler Churchill singled in the third run.

Limestone countered with three runs in the bottom of the inning on singles by Tyler Morgan and Nate Tucker. Chris Bernier followed by doubling in Tucker and Morgan. Austin Dow-Smith singled to score Bernier.

Limestone took the lead for good in the fourth, scoring two unearned runs and added another unearned run in the fifth.

The Eagles broke the game open in the sixth by scoring four runs. Dylan Nadeau singled and Kirk singled, scoring Nadeau. Tucker’s RBI single followed and then Butler singled in Tucker. Butler then stole home.
