Fort Kent, Maine–The University of Maine at Fort Kent soccer teams swept Fisher College on Saturday afternoon as part of homecoming weekend at UMFK. The women won 7-0 and the men won by a 6-0 score.

In the women’s game, UMFK scored two goals in the first five minutes and five goals in the opening 15 minutes of the match and never looked back. This match was the final game for Coach Lucas Levesque as Bengals head coach. Levesque announced earlier this week that he would resign as head coach and assistant athletics director.

Sabrina Brooks started the scoring off taking a pass from superstar Sherifatu Sumaila. Sumaila would then score the next two off passes from Tolu Oyeniyi and Kendra Freund.

Gabi Riccardi-Shortt and Oyeniyi added first half goals.

Oyeniyi and Sumaila both scored in the second half to complete the scoring for UMFK.

Keepers Valentina Green and Samoya Brooks combined in goal for the win.
