Ellsworth Softball 0 at Hermon 12

At Hermon, freshman pitchers Karli Theberge and Allessa Oakes combined on two-hit shutout to lift the Hawks by the Eagles in the mutual opener on Saturday.

Theberge allowed just one hit over four innings while striking out four and walking one and Oakes finished with two one-hit innings when she struck out six and walked  one.

Theberge also paced the Hermon offense with a two-run home run, two doubles and a single. Gabby Bryant chipped in with a triple, double and single while Shaniah Haskell and Claire Petersen each added two singles. Haskell drove in three runs and Peterson drove in one.

Cristin Wright  and Emily Berry each singled for Ellsworth.
