At Caribou, in a reverse from game one, Ellsworth entered the seventh inning down 8-4 and rallied for three runs, but with the tying run on second and the go-ahead run at first, Caribou pitcher Amber Bonewicz was able to force an infield pop-fly out to come away with the win in the second game of a doubleheader.
Caribou was led by Tori Bouchard’s two doubles and four RBI, Kelsie Espling’s single and double, two runs and two RBI, Anesha Hersey’s three hits and two runs, and Bonewicz’s three singles and two runs. Jordyn Doucette and Delaney Williams also chipped, each hitting a double.
Emily Berry and Sam Woods were tough at the plate, each going 3-for-4 for Ellsworth. Berry had two doubles and a single, scoring two runs and collecting two RBI. Woods’ big hit was another home run (a solo shot like in game one) as well as a single and a double.
