At Limestone, Kelsee Albert capped a four-hit day with an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the top-seeded Eagles past the No. 8 Mariners.
Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics (16-0) scored three times in the third, sixth and seventh to edge Deer Isle-Stonington (14-4).
Chelsey Pelkey singled four times and drove in the tying run in the seventh for Limestone. Melissa Cantafio knocked three singles and pitched a complete game, striking out five.
Ellyzabeth Bencivenga and Annie Sinclair (RBI) each had a single and double, and Sarah Hemphill posted two singles with an RBI.
Shiann Closson and Julie Hutchins led the Mariners with two singles each. Amber Jones stroked a two-run double and Katie Haskell hit a two-run single to highlight the Mariners’ seven-run fourth inning.
