In the second game of a doubleheader at Husson University in Bangor, Lee Academy rallied from a 5-0 deficit to record a 9-7 win over Deer Isle-Stonington to claim the 11th and final Class C playoff berth.
Lee got a complete game pitching effort from Corey Worster who struck out five and walked five while allowing only three earned runs.
At the plate Worster singled three times and doubled, Brady Haynes singled twice and Tom Morris contributed a double.
Deer Isle Stonington’s Sam Grindle, Connor Morey, Nathan Davis and Nick Eaton recorded two hits each.
Both teams finished with 7-9 regular season records.
Baseball prelims begin on Tuesday, followed by quarterfinals on Thursday, semifinals on Saturday, regional finals on June 11-2 and state finals on June 15.
