Virginia Beach, Virginia–The University of Maine at Fort Kent senior forward Ben Kluvers, who was named the USCAA National Player of the Year for the third consecutive season, scored a first half hat trick that powered the Bengals into the USCAA semi-finals, with a 7-1 victory over College of St. Joseph’s (VT).

Kluvers took a Carlos Crusat-Lopez pass in the 10th minute and then a Stuart Conway corner for the first two goals. Jamie Reid added a first half goal and Kluvers completed the hat trick in the 36th minute.

Milton Christopher added a goal and two assists and Damion Rankine added two late goals for UMFK. Keepers Butch Forbes and Romario Romain were not forced to make a save as UMFK outshot CSJ, 26-5, including 13-0 on goal.

UMFK will move onto the semifinal round on Sunday.
