At East Machias on Friday, Andrew Speed scored the game winning goal with 7:57 left in the second overtime to lift the Central Red Devils to the East Class C semifinal win. The winning goal started from a Grant Poulin throw-in that was headed by Trevor Macomber over to Speed who was able to control the ball and put the ball past the keeper.

Kyle Taylor scored for Washington Acaademy with 18:58 left in the first half to give the Raiders a 1-0 halftime lead.

Caleb Shaw evened the game up with 18:33 left in the second half after a cross from Speed was deflected off a defender and Shaw finished the play.

For 13-3 Red Devils, Quanah Harrod made 13 saves on 15 shots. For 11-3-2 Raiders, Cam Varney made 9 saves on 11 shots.

Central will play at Orono on Wednesday for the Eastern Maine championship.
