At Bucksport, the Golden Bucks, hosting their first boys soccer playoff game since the late 1990s, posted the win behind three goals from Sam Stearns in the Eastern Maine Class C prelim.
Chris Chaffee assisted on two goals for the No. 8 Golden Bucks, now 7-7-1. Elijah McCarthy also recorded an assist and Ryan Grindle finished with 13 saves on 17 shots.
Tony Underhill stopped 10 of 14 shots for No. 9 Central of Corinth, which finished at 7-7-1.
Bucksport will travel to Madawaska on Wednesday to face the top-ranked Owls in a quarterfinal game.
