By Pete Warner, BDN Staff

At Eastport on Friday, the 11th-ranked Central Aroostook Panthers scored the upset over the sixth-ranked Tigers as Joe Stiles scored the game-winner 13 minutes into overtime.

After a scoreless first half, Shead’s Nick Barnes scored on a penalty kick with 18 minutes in the second half. However, Dustin Pryor of the Panthers answered in less than a minute to tie the game 1-1.

Six minutes later, the Panthers’ Dane Kingsbury struck to take the lead. But the Tigers’ Mark Clossey brought the game into overtime after a late goal with just over two minutes left in regulation time.

Goalkeeper Spencer Garrison of the Panthers had 11 saves on 21 shots and Ryan Eylar of the Tigers had 7 saves on 13 shots.
