BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men’s soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to Castleton University on a rainy Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action at Boucher Field.
Derek Blouin got the scoring started early, tallying a goal in the 20th minute to make it 1-0 in favor of Castleton (6-8-2, 6-2-0 NAC).
In the second half, Jack Kingdon extended the Spartan advantage to 2-0 in the 64th minute.
Aaron Parker made three saves for the Spartans.
Cody Gross recorded six saves in the loss for the Husson (7-6-2, 5-2-1 NAC).
Rod Ghanayem had three shots for the Eagles, while Jimmy Fitzpatrick and Matthew Crockett each had two shots.
Castleton outshot the Eagles 15-9.
