At Winslow, Cody Herbert’s line-drive double in the top of the eighth scored pinch runner Dylan Conroy to lift the No. 7 Vikings by the No. 6 Black Raiders in an East Class B semifinal.
Caribou (13-6) advanced to a 7 p.m. regional final Wednesday at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor against the winner of Monday’s other semifinal between Old Town and Camden Hills.
The Vikings scored their first run in the third inning when Matt Curry’s fielder’s choice grounder plated Dustin Bouchard. Caribou rallied to tie the game at 2-2 in the seventh Mason Huck and Tyler Dombroski each singled and Huck scored on Bouchard’s grounder to third, beating a wide throw home.
Sean Sadler notched the victory for the Vikings as he scattered nine hits and three walks while striking out two.
Zach Guptill and Trevor Lovely each notched RBI singles for Winslow (15-4).
