Caribou Baseball 9 at Old Town 10

At Old Town, the Coyotes dug themselves out of a nine-run hole to complete the sweep of Caribou with a win in game two.

Old Town used a nine-run fourth inning to secure the comeback and scored a run in the seventh inning to walk off with the win.

For Old Town, Zac Miller delivered a two-out single to score pinch runner Tyler Byther from second. Old Town’s nine-run fourth inning was highlighted by a Cameron Archer double. Eight Coyote hitters registered singles in the frame. Gabe Melmed led the Coyotes with two singles and a double. Archer singled and doubled while Tyler Lynch had two RBI singles in the fourth inning.

Caribou had scored nine runs through the first four innings. Mike Selander had three singles and three runs scored while Matt Curry added two singles. Carter Chabot had two doubles and a single while Shawn Sadler doubled.

Lynch picked up the win on the mound in relief of Melmed who had worked three innings of relief.
