Caribou Boys Soccer 1 at Fort Kent 3

By Eric Werntgen, AD

At Fort Kent, Brandon Theriault scored twice and Tito Naranja added an insurance goal to lead the Warriors past Caribou.
Theriault scored his first goal off a cross from Ryan Chasse, taking the ball out of the air and tucking it low to the near corner past Caribou goalkeeper Ethan Plourde to give the Warriors a 1-0 halftime lead.
Theriault then scored his second goal just 1:03 into the second half. Anthony Desjardins danced along the Caribou end line before sending a ball across the 6-yard box which Theriault one-timed for the score.
Caribou countered about six minutes later as Dustin Bouchard beat Fort Kent goalie Chris Daigle on an assist from Colby Holdsworth.
Plourde made five saves on 19 shots for Caribou (0-2) while Fort Kent’s Daigle turned away 12 of 16 shots.
