At Waterville, Cameron Thomas scored on touchdown runs of 16 and 3 yards in the first quarter and Jordhan Levine added a 26-yard field goal in the second quarter to help No. 6 Waterville surge to a 17-0 lead en route to the victory over No. 7 Belfast in an Eastern Maine Class B semifinal.

Waterville will take on No. 1 Mt. Blue at Farmington in the regional final on Friday or Saturday.

Belfast responded to the Waterville lead with a 73-yard drive capped by a Carl Dodge 2-yard TD run at the end of the first half and then a 63-yard TD drive at the start of the second.

Waterville responded to put away the Lions when Nick Danner caught a 16-yard TD pass from Aidan Fitzgerald in the third quarter and when Racean Wood scored on a 9-yard TD run earlier in the fourth quarter.

Waterville is now 6-4 and Belfast finished at 5-5.
