Bangor Christian Boys Soccer 3 at Easton

At Easton, Kyle Holmes scored two second-half goals to help second-seeded Bangor Christian beat No. 1 Easton in the Eastern Maine Class D final.

Easton got on the board first on a Cody Halvorson goal with 27:18 left in the first half.

BC’s Holmes got by his mark and scored off a Zac Palmeter assist with 9:32 left in the first. The Patriots responded at the start of the second half when Brandon Messer set up a Jay Bishop goal just 2:10 into the second for a 2-1 lead.

The game went back and forth until Holmes scored the final goal unassisted with 8:29 left.

Jake Flewelling had 8 saves for 15-1-1 Easton. Brian Boutot also had 8 saves for the 18-0 Patriots.
