|Bangor High School||Windham High School|
At Windham, junior forward Matt Fleming scored a career-high 45 points and also rebounded in double figures as Bangor scored the pointworthy road victory.
The win improved the Rams’ record to 6-4 and moved coach Carl Parker’s club into second place in Class AA North, just ahead of third-place Windham (8-3).
The game was close through out, though Bangor did trail in the fourth quarter after starters Damien Vance and Noah Missbrenner both fouled out before making a late comeback behind key 3-pointers from Fleming and Henry Westrich and a big free throw by sophomore Nathan Richardson that gave the Rams a late lead.
Vance added 10 points and Westrich seven for Bangor, which avenged a 73-63 loss to Windham on Dec. 16.
