SOUTHWEST HARBOR, Maine — A Zentangle workshop will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Southwest Harbor Public Library. Zentangle is a relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.
This beginner’s workshop will be taught by Jenny Perruzzi, a certified Zentangle teacher. It is free and open to any age. Class size is limited to 12 students and pre-registration is a must. Materials will be provided.
The Zentangle method works by using predefined tangles. Tangles are created by deconstructing patterns into elemental strokes. They are created by repeating the strokes in a structured way. Zentangle art is abstract and non-representational.
