Woodlawn and Master Gardeners to hold a Creative Container Gardens workshop

Ellsworth: Woodlawn in collaboration with The University of Maine Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program is offering a Creative Container Gardens workshop, Saturday, June 2nd, from 10 until 11:30 am.

In this workshop, master gardener volunteers will teach participants how they can create a plentiful vegetable garden in small spaces. Grow your garden in a wide variety of imaginative containers on your deck, patio, windowsill or any nook and cranny you can find. Learn about placement, varieties of plants and soil conditions for optimum success in your above ground garden.

Other topics to be covered as part of the Master Gardener Series at Woodlawn include, Backyard Composting, Beneficial Insects and Pollinators, Water Wise Drip Irrigation, Hoop House/High Tunnel Soil Management, and Moss Gardening.
