Winterport Open Stage is proud to announce it’s Spring production, the hilarious musical comedy by Dan Goggin: Nunsense! What happens when the Little Sisters of Hoboken put on a variety show to raise money to bury their sisters who were accidently poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God)? Come see Heather Astbury-Libby as Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Brianne Beck as Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; Elena DeSiervo Burns as a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Kari Stowe as Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, played by Tina Burns, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head. Featuring star turns, tap and ballet dancing, an audience quiz, and comic surprises, this zany musical is a laugh-out-loud show that’s full of fun for the whole family! Directed by Dominick Varney with musical direction by Phil Burns. Performances will be April 19, 20, 26, 27 at 7:30PM and April 21, 28 at 3:00PM at Samuel L. Wagner Middle School, Mountainview Dr. in Winterport. Tickets available at the door. General admission: $10.00. Students & Seniors: $8.00.
