Exercise your head and your body with a writing workshop paired with a nature walk. Join Cheryl Daigle and Holly Twining as they explore the winter landscape of the Penobscot River and what river restoration will mean to fish, wildlife and human communities through writing exercises and field observations. Cheryl is the community liaison and outreach coordinator for Penobscot River Restoration Trust and her writing has appeared in Orion magazine and numerous wildlife and conservation publications. Holly, a naturalist with Maine Audubon, will guide the walk. The workshop will be held 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10. The group will meet at Old Town Riverfront Park on North Main Street. Cost: $15/member; $20/nonmember. Children free. Advance registration required.
