Take a walk with Maine Master Naturalist Volunteer Jason Chandler as we explore the landscape of Hidden Valley Nature Center for wild edible plants. Possible finds include pine, acorns, cattails, Solomon’s seal, wild carrot, and others.

The fall landscape of Maine holds much that can help us, including many plants whose internal chemistry aligns with ours, making them useful to us as food and medicine. If you are feeling adventurous, bring your waterproof boots! Jason will have his handbook on local wild edibles available to share. $5 suggested donation.
