Weekly Guided Canoe Tour at Hirundo Wildlife Refuge

The canoe tours will offer basic canoe instruction, and explores the plants and wildlife found in Pushaw Stream. Enjoy this unique ecosystem, learn about the great diversity of birdlife and aquatic plant communities, conservation issues and efforts, and observe mammal behavior in the tranquil beauty of the Refuge. Canoes, paddles and lifejackets are provided. Reservation and cancellation requested, call 207-944-9259 or 207 827-2230. Meet at the parking lot at Gate 3 (35 Hudson Road, Alton)for 2 p.m. departure.

Suggested donations are $4 for adults, school-aged children are free.
