UMF Concert Band presents Fall concert

Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 3 p.m. to 3 p.m.


FARMINGTON, Maine — The University of Maine Farmington Concert Band, conducted by Anita Jerosch, will take the stage at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in the Nordica Auditorium.

The concert includes Gustav Holst’s “First Suite in E-flat,” William Schuman’s “Chester Overture” and John Barnes Chance’s “Variations on a Korean Folk Song.”  Dan Barrett, trombone instructor at the University of Maine, will be the soloist in an arrangement of Albinoni’s “Adagio” for trombone and woodwinds.

The second half of the program features the 15-member Maine Brass Guild.
