Trekkapalooza to rock local talent

Announcing Trekkers’ Battle of the Bands 2013

ROCKLAND, Maine — Trekkers will celebrate its ninth annual Trekkapalooza event at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Strand Theatre. Showcasing local talent, the event will feature sets from several bands. Each band will compete to win a cash prize and the title of Bus Band 2013. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event is chemical free and open to all.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 on the day of the event and may be purchased by calling the Trekkers office at 207-594-5095. Proceeds will benefit Trekkers, a youth mentoring organization that serves middle and high school students in the communities of Regional School Unit #13.
