Four day Timber Frame class at Hidden Valley Nature Center, Jefferson. Learn the basics of post and beam construction, starting with standing trees and ending with a finished handsome and rugged small building. Co-sponsored by Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association which offers some scholarships (amarshall@mofga.org). Program cost is $500 ($450 for HVNC, SWOAM & MOFGA members), and includes breakfast, lunch and all materials. No previous carpentry experience is necessary. Registration required.
