Venture to Acadia National Park to explore the rocky intertidal zones, mud flats, salt marshes, and spruce-fir forests of Acadia’s stunning coast. Participants should be able to negotiate the irregular, slippery surfaces of the rocky intertidal zone. Bring water, snacks, and a picnic lunch. Rubber boots are recommended for the mud flats. The group will have dinner together at a local lobster pound before returning to Fields Pond (dinner cost not included). We’ll meet at Fields Pond Audubon Center in Holden and travel by van to the coast.
Saturday, September 22, 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Cost: $60/member; $80/nonmember. Advance registration is required. Please call 989-2591 or register online at:
