The Leaky Boot Jug Band to play during Freedom’s Bicentennial Celebration

The Leaky Boot Jug Band will perform July 6th at noon at Mitchell Field in Freedom during Freedom’s Bicentennial Celebration.

This group of “Waldo County rabble rousers” covers acoustic material ranging from traditional blues to the Grateful Dead, and some bluegrass for good measure. The band includes Neal Parent on harmonica, Travis Lloyd, bass and guitar, Jon Kerr, banjo, Tom Fowler, mandolin, Dave Johnson, percussion, Dan Miller, hand drums, Russ Lloyd, guitar and bass, Greg Dorr, fiddle and Dave McDonough, dobro.

The weekend of events celebrating Freedom includes fireworks, a pie baking contest, a contradance, frog leaping contest, horseshoe tournament, crafts, farmer’s market, a grist mill tour and lots more.
