Woodlawn in collaboration with The University of Maine Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program is pleased to start its 2012 Master Gardener series with a Seed and Seedling Swap, Saturday, May 5th, from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm.

The Master Gardener series at Woodlawn provides gardeners with invaluable information and a great opportunity for sharing growing experience here in Maine. Join us on Saturday, May 5th, from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm for the first program of the series, when Master Gardener Volunteers invite gardeners to a seed and seedling swap. If you have seeds or seedlings you would like to swap, this is a good time to meet other gardeners and in the end, come away with some interesting finds. Participants should bring proper containers to carry their seeds and seedlings back home.

Other topics to be covered as part of the series include, Creative Container Gardens, Backyard Composting, Beneficial Insects and Pollinators, Water Wise Drip Irrigation, Hoop House/High Tunnel Soil Management, and Moss Gardening. For a complete list of the 2012 Master Gardener series at Woodlawn, visit www.woodlawnmuseum.org .

The Master Gardener series is free of charge, however your donation to help Woodlawn develop more programs is greatly appreciated. Please call Woodlawn at 667-8671 for your reservation or email events@woodlawnmuseum.org.
