UNITY, Maine — On Thursday, December 27, New England Celtic Arts will host The Gawler Family at 7:30 p.m.  Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Unity College Center for the Performing Arts, 42 Depot Street.  Ticket price is $15.

John and Ellen Gawler and their daughters Molly, Edith, and Elsie bring you an assortment of old and new sounds from many folk traditions. They accompany interweaving family harmonies with fiddles, banjo, wooden banjo, cello, and guitar as well as a few surprises.

Although the Gawlers may be best known for their extensive collection of dance tunes in the Scots-Irish and French Canadian traditions, their repertoire may include a gutsy a capella, worksong, or an amusing ode to everyday life.

For ticket reservations call (207) 948-7469 or email uccpa@unity.edu.  For more information visit www.uccpa.unity.edu.
